Sapphire Fue Method Hair Transplant

Various hair transplant techniques are utilized in Turkey, and among them, the Sapphire FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method stands out as the latest technology. Sapphire, a valuable gemstone, is used in the tool tips for hair transplant procedures.

What is the Sapphire FUE Method?

During the hair transplant procedure, special sapphire tips are used instead of metal handles to open channels. This method is an innovation within the FUE technique, aimed at minimizing the size of the channels in which the hair follicles will be transplanted, thereby reducing scabbing and accelerating the healing process. This significantly reduces the potential side effects post-transplant and speeds up the healing process. It has become one of the most preferred methods recently.

A successful hair transplant result can only be achieved with the most natural appearance, which is determined by the angle, thickness/density, and growth direction of the transplanted hair. The use of sapphire tips helps achieve these details with the highest efficiency. Another advantage of sapphire tools is their ability to open channels at a minimal angle, allowing for the highest number of grafts to be transplanted, thus increasing the chances of achieving a denser appearance.

Consultations with experts at Aestheticium Plus can provide you with detailed information to help achieve the desired hair transplant density.

Procedure Process

The sapphire method starts with the application of local anesthesia to the donor area, which is the back and sides of your head between the ears. Using special tools suited to hair thickness (0.6 – 0.9 mm), follicular units are extracted one by one along with their surrounding microscopic tissue. This procedure is painless, incision-free, scar-free, and stitch-free. After extraction, the channeling phase begins based on the number of follicular units extracted. These units are then individually placed into the recipient hairless area.

Hair Wash:

The first hair wash is performed at the clinic on the third day after the transplant. Detailed instructions and demonstrations on how to wash your hair properly will be provided. For the next 10-12 days, you will continue washing your hair as instructed to prevent scabbing or clotting in the transplanted area.

Hair Growth Process :

The first month after the transplant is known as the “shock loss” period, or the anagen phase. During this adaptation period, the transplanted hair strands may fall out due to inadequate nourishment or exposure to air. This does not happen to every patient and is a normal part of the process.

From the third month onwards, the transplanted hair will slowly start to grow and emerge from the scalp. By the sixth month, about half of the transplanted hair will have grown. The full growth of the transplanted hair typically completes within a minimum of eight months and a maximum of 18 months.

Following your doctor’s advice and being patient during this period will ensure you achieve the best results.
